In January 2014, Cindy from the blog, Quilt Doodle Doodles, introduced her mystery BOM. Each month her block can be downloaded free of charge. If you miss a month, then there is a small charge for the pattern on Craftsy. Ninety nine percent of the quilt is created using 2.5" squares. At the end of the ten months, Cindy gave us some appliqué drawings that we could use to add some finishing touches to our quilt.
This is what I created using Cindy's design.
When I saw January's block, I knew I had to make this quilt. Just above the snowmen, there is a row of wrapped Christmas candy.
There is nothing tastier than a cup of hot cocoa on a cold winter night.
The house has been decorated for the holidays. I used tiny beads to put lights on the tree. It appears that the children have built a snowman.
Everyone likes to watch the bunnies run through the snow.
More wildlife in the forest.
I enjoy embroidery, so I added laces to my skates.
I also embroidered some wires on my string of Christmas lights.
After I put all my blocks and rows together, I bordered it with. 2" border of tone on tone off white. I then added a 6" border of a blue tone on tone with snowflakes and winter sayings on it. It was a lot of fun.
Thanks Cindy !!
Now on to BOM 2015
